Pastor Vernon Strahan is a pastor who leads by example. One of his primary goals in ministry is to advance the kingdom by sharing the truth of God’s Word.
He is a revivalist with over 45 years of senior ministerial leadership. Standing firm on Isaiah 34:16, “Search from the book of the LORD, and read.”
Pastor Strahan believes that gaining a thorough understanding of God’s word is vital to a believer’s walk with Christ. He has labored extensively to deliver a message of hope and recovery as God’s people are strengthened and encouraged. Pastor Strahan and his wife of 50 years, Minister Kathy Strahan, reside in Houston, Texas. They have three adult children and three grandchildren. God has called me to serve Him by guiding people into a strong and stable relationship with Jesus Christ. As a leader with over 40 years of ministry experience, I believe strongly in advancing the kingdom to the glory of God.
Pastor Strahan Experience since the year 1982 includes, being the Senior pastor at St. Luke Christian Church where he mentored emerging and experienced pastors/leaders, established and maintain numerous annual fellowships with ministries in Houston and surrounding areas, officiate funeral services, and provide pastoral counseling.
He has authorized new ministry leaders for service such as ordinations, pastoral charge and established Men Moving Upward Men’s Fellowship and Advancing in the Kingdom Bible Study. Pastor Strahan also performs marriage counseling, wedding ceremonies, child dedications, chaplain services and serves as mentor to young men re-entering society.
